Wombat Heights Orchard & “The Grog Shed”

Wombat Heights is owned and operated by Stephen and Kerry Eastlake. They grow cherries, peaches and sugar plums. Their orchards are very well maintained, mowed pasture strips between the well pruned trees, making it easier for picking. At Wombat Heights Steve and Kerry pride themselves on their friendly and helpful manner and aim to treat their visitors as they would their guests. Two acres of landscaped gardens in which to relax and enjoy a BYO picnic lunch after picking your own fresh fruit. Orchard and garden tours are available, with a qualified person to answer all your questions on the requirements and how to of fruit growing. They grow it, make it, and bottle it. “Wombat Heights” own brand of home made Jam, Pickles, Sauces, Chutneys and preserves are available all year round to be purchased. Pick Your Own Cherries – Pick your own Cherries from mid November till around Christmas time. You may sample the fruit as you pick and pay for the fruit that you take away – prices per kilo. Pick your own Peaches 1st January till mid January. Fruit Tree Blossoms during mid September for two weeks. “The Grog Shed ” – stocks Cherry wine and the famous Wombat Widdle. None of the wines or liqueurs have any artificial preservatives or additives and will keep for years after being opened. List of their liquors:
