With so many people coming to Young to join us for the Festival we need to make this year’s parade a standout.
In the past up to 5,000 people have flocked to Boorowa Street to see the parade so it is the perfect opportunity for your business, school, group or community organisation to show off and celebrate the Cherry Season.
I have been out and dropped of entry forms to lots of businesses and other organisations and there is lots of interest and even some competition brewing to see who comes up with a great entry this year. If I have not dropped into you or you just cant wait to get an entry form please click here to send an email to the visitors centre and they will send you one.
The categories this year are 1. Best overall entry 2. Funniest Entry 3, The Best Cherry Theme Entry
You don’t need a float – some entries walk or cycle, but if you need a truck or vehicle make sure you organise this as soon as possible as they are in demand.
The parade commences at 4pm and all participants must be in place in Cloete street between 3pm and 3.45pm.
