The town’s signature event, the National Cherry Festival is now in its 64th year and is held in the first full weekend in December coinciding with the cherry harvest. The festival starts Friday night with fireworks, live music in the park and announcement of the Cherry Queen and Charity Queen winners in the annual festival queen competition and a big program of events continues on Saturday and Sunday morning.

There are many other sporting and cultural events linked to the National Cherry Festival held in November and December.

The town’s historical festival, the Lambing Flat Chinese Festival is scheduled for April 5 in 2014.

The Hilltops Annual Wine Dinner is another popular local event focusing attention of the superior food and wine coming from the region.
